
When Herbalife chose Iceland for its latest incentive program, expectations were high. What followed was a seamlessly executed experience for approximately 220 guests, designed and delivered by DMC Incentive Travel Iceland. Combining adventure, exclusivity, and large-scale event production, the program quickly became one of the company’s most memorable journeys to date.
Herbalife’s feedback following the program spoke directly to the level of execution behind the experience. One team member described “the amount of logistics and level of attention to detail” as “next level.” They also praised the team’s operational expertise, stating, “Logistical knowledge was top notch! Always found solutions to a very complicated set of situations that our group brings! They have great supplier partnerships which makes them a top DMC in the area.” Perhaps the strongest endorsement, however, came in Herbalife’s reflection on the overall partnership: “If you are looking for a DMC that can handle anything and everything; this is your company. They do not bring cookie cutter experiences to the table. They are always thinking about you as the client and the specific attendees’ experiences & expectations you need.”
The result was a program that captured the many contrasts of Iceland in a way few travelers ever experience.
The program brought Iceland’s contrasts to life. Guests moved from the mineral rich waters of the Blue Lagoon to the raw power of the Golden Circle, enhanced by snowmobiling across a glacier. In Þórsmörk, a remote highland valley shaped by glaciers and volcanic forces, buggy adventures provided an exhilarating way to experience the valley’s dramatic landscape, while more intimate moments included descending into a volcano, horseback riding on Iceland’s unique breed, and e-mountain biking through geothermal terrain.
Complementing the adventure were five signature events, each carefully curated in distinctive venues across the country, transforming every evening into an experience of its own.
Among the highlights was an evening at Ingólfsskáli Viking Restaurant, inspired by Iceland’s first settler, Ingólfur Arnarson. Guests were welcomed by Vikings before stepping into an immersive evening featuring a traditional feast alongside archery and axe throwing, an authentic and unforgettable celebration of Icelandic heritage delivered with theatrical flair.
Capturing the character of Iceland is significantly enhanced through working with a locally based destination management company, where on-the-ground knowledge and presence shape the experience at every stage. DMC Incentive Travel Iceland is one of only a small number operating in this way in the country, with that local presence reflected in every stage of program delivery, from planning through to execution.
