With Frankfurt: City of WOW!, the city presents an immersive format that brings 800 years of history to life, not as a traditional exhibition, but as something you can truly feel.
Just a few minutes from the exhibition grounds, a former file storage facility has been transformed into a multi-sensory experience space. No display cases, no long texts—instead, storytelling, design and technology come together to create a completely new way of discovering Frankfurt.
What makes Frankfurt… Frankfurt? The first part of the experience sets the stage:
- From Goethe to skyline vibes
- From Eintracht passion to urban diversity
- From culture to everyday life
All presented in a way that’s intuitive, engaging and easy to dive into—even if it’s your first time in the city. And then comes the WOW moment: A 270° immersive installation with projections up to 10 meters high surrounds you completely. For around 20 minutes, you’re taken on a journey through Frankfurt’s defining moments:
- Imperial past
- The National Assembly of 1848
- Destruction in 1945
- Economic growth and modern city life
It’s history, but not as you know it. It’s something you experience.
