The Iceberg Charity Trust announces launch of the IcebergHub for the global business events industry
New platform makes 9,687 curated industry sources searchable for the first time, as the Trust unveils its founding Board of Trustees and invites professionals worldwide to join a global advocacy movement.
The Iceberg Charity Trust announced the formal launch of the IcebergHub at IMEX.
At the same time, the Trust introduced its founding Board of 10 trustees and issued a global call to industry professionals, associations, destinations and academic institutions to become ambassadors of a shared movement. The initiative is built on a single conviction: the evidence proving the value of business events already exists—and together, the industry must make that evidence visible to policymakers.
A charitable trust built by the industry, for the industry
The Iceberg Charity Trust is a UK-registered charitable organization operating under the principle of Many Voices, One Message. Its mission is to curate, connect and make accessible decades of evidence demonstrating the economic, social and civic value of association meetings, congresses and business events, turning that evidence into clear, usable advocacy intelligence for professionals at every level of the sector.
The Trust is governed by 10 founding trustees representing the full breadth of the global events industry, including association management, medical congress organizations, international destinations, venue leadership and academia. Talley Management Group, a professional association management company based in New Jersey, US, serves as the Trust's appointed management company.
"We are the curator, not the creator," said James Latham, who founded The Iceberg in 2017. "The Iceberg exists to make the sector's evidence discoverable—not to compete with the organizations that produce it. Every answer the platform provides directs ambassadors to the original source."
Gregg Talley, President and CEO, Talley Management Group said,“This is a global movement, not just a product launch. The Iceberg gives the entire business events industry a shared reference point: a single place where many voices convene to share one message.”
The IcebergHub: Industry evidence, searchable for the first time
Central to today's announcement is the IcebergHub, a new platform that makes more than 9,687 curated sources searchable. Drawing on video case studies, industry research reports, congress outcome data and links to leading global industry organizations, the IcebergHub enables ambassadors to ask questions about meeting impact and receive specific, cited answers within seconds.
The platform uses a semantic search and agentic architecture that analyzes documents rather than surface-level text snippets. Responses are grounded in complete document analysis and are directly to the original source material, with publishers clearly credited.
The knowledge base is designed to grow continuously. An inventory reconciliation process with content management partner Xplore4 is underway to ensure the Iceberg's full video and document archive is indexed. Future development phases will introduce speaker-level video citations, timestamp navigation, and enhanced metadata enrichment to further improve search relevance.
Vamshi Velmajala, Gevme said, “The business events industry stands at an inflection point. The Iceberg has spent years building the evidence that proves our sector’s value to the world; our ambition together is to put that intelligence in the hands of every decision-maker who shapes the future of events, from policymakers to organizers to host cities. This is how an industry moves from being understood to being indispensable.”
Join the movement: The Iceberg Ambassador Program
Alongside the IcebergHub launch, The Iceberg Charity Trust is inviting professionals worldwide to become ambassadors.
For £375 per year, ambassadors receive full access to the IcebergHub, including all 9,687 curated sources, unlimited natural-language queries, structured research templates and cited outputs designed for direct use in bids, policy conversations, funding discussions and strategic advocacy.
Student access and institutional arrangements are available for approved academic partners. The Trust has also announced a partnership with the Center for Events and Festivals (CEF), which works with more than 700 event management professors globally, to provide the Iceberg knowledge base as a professional-grade research tool for the next generation of industry talent.

“What excites me most is not the technology. It’is the powerful ability to make visible and truly useful the evidence that already exists. Our new IcebergHub is so much more than a platform; by elevating the amazing content already published, it will truly empower our movement for a new era” said Genevieve Leclerc, Founding Trustee, The Iceberg Charity Trust
