A new way to experience Hall 9 at IMEX Frankfurt
In just a few days’ time, attendees arriving at IMEX Frankfurt will step into a reimagined Hall 9—one designed to support learning, connection and creativity.
As the central hub for education, activations (and very importantly lunch!), Hall 9 has been redesigned with people firmly at the center, offering an experience that is both practical and inspiring.
Designed with empathy—and intention
The new Hall 9 design is the result of empathy-mapping exercises that explored how people move through and experience the space in real time. This approach has shaped everything from circulation to color, with cooler tones and considered layouts supporting focused learning and appealing to a new generation of attendees. The design also reflects the intention to ensure the space is welcoming and accessible for neurodivergent attendees.Inspiration Hub: learning that flows, rises and evolves
At the heart of Hall 9, the Inspiration Hub introduces three newly named learning spaces: Flow, Rise and Evolve. Each draws inspiration from the Frankfurt region, subtly shaping mood and behavior through design.- Flow, inspired by the River Main, reflects movement, transformation and connection
- Rise, influenced by the Taunus Mountains, evokes collective strength and uplift
- Evolve, grounded in the city’s forest, represents interdependence and diversity
Immersive activations and sensory details
Hall 9 also brings creativity to life through interactive activations. An eye catching digital graffiti experience, created with Studio MUX, invites two people at a time to “spray” using digital controllers and share their creations via QR code. Nearby, the Metahuman Choir features four towering AI generated heads allowing attendees to create music using a touch interface, with sound delivered through a localized sound shower overhead.Subtle scenting by Equal Strategy adds another sensory layer, while new furniture from Furniture on the Move elevates comfort and style throughout the space. Instant education summaries and live translation, powered by Snapsight, support inclusive learning across all Inspiration Hub sessions.
A place to pause, meet, and refuel
Inspired by London’s Borough Market, the refreshed Food Court introduces an urban, market style feel with natural materials, oak trees and playful design touches—creating a place to eat, meet, pause and relax between meetings.Practical services, including the returning Lufthansa Bag Drop, IMEX workspace powered by -45DB and Nook Pods ensure Hall 9 balances inspiration with ease and efficiency.
