On 24 and 25 June 2025, the NATO Summit 2025 was successfully concluded, a milestone that took place in the heart of The Hague, the international city of peace and justice. The event welcomed 45 heads of state, 45 ministers of defence, 45 ministers of foreign affairs, 6000 delegates and 2000 (inter)national journalists in World Forum The Hague.
World Forum The Hague was proud to host this historic summit. The choice of location underlines The Hague’s role as an international hub for diplomatic meetings. From the initial set-up to the final moment when the summit came to life, a lot of work was done in the months leading up to it. World Forum The Hague expanded with not one, but two temporary buildings to make this summit possible.
For the Netherlands, this NATO summit was special: it was the first time since NATO was founded in 1949 that the country was allowed to organize this summit. During the summit, important decisions were made that affect global peace and security. In the official The Hague Summit Declaration NATO's 32 member states reaffirmed their shared commitment to collective defence and established an ambitious new defence standard that further strengthens the foundations of NATO's future.
Immediately after the summit the doors of World Forum The Hague open to the residents of The Hague. 5.000 residents were given the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes of this prestigious event and the location that played such an important role in the NATO summit.
Thanks to the organization of the NATO summit; the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, NAVO and the Municipality of The Hague for their trust and constructive cooperation. Also thanks to the team, the many partners and suppliers who worked together to implement the summit. World Forum The Hague is proud of The Hague, the international city of peace and justice, which has once again proven to be a reliable and hospitable location for global dialogue and cooperation.
