On a sunny day, it generates enough power to keep the venue running and share energy with the neighborhood. Its in-house catering follows the same philosophy, working closely with local producers - including a neighbourhood bakery that provides exceptionally good cookies. Because many suppliers are located nearby, transport distances are limited and deliveries are often made using electric vehicles. The combination of recognised certification and practical measures makes it easier to demonstrably achieve sustainability goals.
Centrally located just outside Amsterdam City Centre and Schiphol International Airport, EXPO Greater Amsterdam is seamlessly connected, whatever direction you're coming from. Reliable bus and shuttle connections link the venue with nearby hotels and the airport, while ample hotel capacity supports multi‑day events.
