Visitors can discover at stand A140 how established venues and conference hotels, new additions and innovative event partners contribute to memorable conferences in Leipzig.
KONGRESSHALLE and CCL: Even more space for conferences and new formats
For ten years, the KONGRESSHALLE am Zoo Leipzig has enhanced Leipzig as a conference destination, offering a modern venue set within a historic building. It has expanded Leipzig’s capacity for multi-day scientific and medical conferences. The KONGRESSHALLE is operated by the Congress Center Leipzig (CCL) of Leipziger Messe. As one of the most modern conference centres in Europe, the CCL is a strong partner for large-scale congresses and for organisers creating innovative event concepts. In spring 2026, for example, the inaugural “You can!” congress for inclusion in the workplace was held, demonstrating how conferences can be designed to be accessible and thus enable greater participation.
Zoo Leipzig: A wild change of pace for conference programmes
The KONGRESSHALLE is located right next to Zoo Leipzig. At IMEX 2026, the two venues will demonstrate how organisers can benefit from this close partnership. After lectures and workshops at the KONGRESSHALLE, delegates can take part in a range of themed activities at the zoo. At the same time, key issues such as species conservation and biodiversity can be experienced first-hand. As a friendly ambassador for the zoo, TAMMI the lion will once again be attending IMEX and will be available for photos with visitors.
Conference hotels in Leipzig: Prime locations and easy access to the city
Alongside its distinctive venues, Leipzig’s presence at IMEX 2026 will also highlight the city’s modern conference hotels. The Leipzig Marriott Hotel will present its meeting and event facilities, demonstrating how luxurious comfort, excellent service and social responsibility go hand in hand. The Westin Leipzig is another popular choice for high-level conferences and business events, with unique views over the city. Thanks to their central locations, both hotels make it easy to combine business and leisure in Leipzig.
New members of the Leipzig Convention Network: Haus Leipzig and H16
Two new members of the Leipzig Convention Network will be presenting at IMEX 2026 for the first time: Haus Leipzig and H16. Both venues have a rich history and offer organisers versatile spaces combined with modern event infrastructure. Haus Leipzig provides the ideal setting for conferences and business events as well as gala evenings and private celebrations. Its main hall, with capacity for up to 1,500 guests, can be seamlessly combined with two spacious foyers, which are well suited to receptions and networking. Originally a trade fair hall, H16 combines industrial character with contemporary event design. It can accommodate events for up to 2,500 people, from conferences and trade fairs to gala events. Both venues place a strong emphasis on sustainability, for example by operating energy-efficiently, upgrading existing buildings and ensuring good accessibility. At IMEX, visitors can discover the new opportunities these two venues offer organisers in Leipzig.
Effective brand communication, made in Leipzig: Sensape
Sensape GmbH is transforming interactive brand communication at events and will be showcasing what this means in practice at the Leipzig stand at IMEX. Visitors can experience the company’s AI-powered augmented reality system first-hand. Rather than just receiving information, they will be actively engaged and leave with a personalised Leipzig memento on their phones. The presentation will also offer valuable inspiration for effective brand communication.
Bleisure: Good reasons to stay longer after the conference
Together with the Leipzig Convention Bureau, partners from the Leipzig Convention Network will showcase at IMEX 2026 how they turn conferences and business events in Leipzig into memorable experiences. Alongside professional support, the city’s exceptional quality of life also plays a key role. Many conference participants already choose to extend their stay in order to explore Leipzig at their own pace. As the “Best Global Music City 2025”, Leipzig offers a rich mix of art and culture, sights and shopping, diverse gastronomy, and easy access to nature. The city is also actively working to develop even more options for business travellers looking to combine work and leisure. As part of this effort, Leipzig is participating as a pilot region in the Bleisure & Workation Monitor Germany study.
All in all, there are plenty of reasons to visit stand A140 at IMEX from 19 to 21 May and discuss ideas for events in Leipzig in person.
